Kintetsu Osaka-Namba Station

The Shimakaze was created to provide a new rail travel experience where the ride itself is part of the fun. The Shimakaze makes one round trip per day from Osaka-Namba, Kyoto, and Kintetsu-Nagoya Stations to Ise-Shima, offering exceptional comfort throughout the journey.

Ise Jingu - Naiku (Kotai Jingu)

Cross the Uji Bridge, said to separate the daily and sacred realm, to Naiku. Purportedly home to the Holy Mirror, one of the Three Imperial Regalia, this jinja (shrine) is considered to be one of the most sacred in Japan. It is dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami, the ancestral kami (Shinto deity) of the Imperial family and the guardian of Japan.

Oharai Town / Okage Yokocho

Before Ise Jingu's Naiku lies the flourishing town of Oharai-machi. Within it, you'll find the district known as Okage Yokocho, where you can enjoy historical Iseji Route streetscapes featuring Edo and Meiji period architecture. With nearly fifty charming shops, Okage Yokocho is a great place to savor Mie's many culinary delights, as well as traditional Ise culture, including taiko drum and picture-card play performances. Don't forget to try akafuku, Ise's signature confection, before you say farewell!

Meotoiwa (The Wedded Rocks)

The Wedded Rocks rise up by the shore along the main approach to Futami Okitama Shrine, a torii gate that greets the sunrise. Once a year around the summer equinox, the sun rises from between Wedded Rocks, making for a true sight to behold. Elsewhere within the grounds of this coastal shrine you'll find several statues of frogs, the auspicious animal said to be a messenger of the gods.

Ise Meotoiwa Meoto Yokocho

This lively, welcoming alley offers Ise-Shima specialties and seafood, along with unique gourmet treats and souvenirs you’ll find nowhere else. Experience the charm of Ise with all five senses as you eat, stroll, and shop.

You can visit Iruka-jima (Dolphin Island) by taking a cruise from Toba Marine Terminal. The fare includes dolphin and seal shows, which everyone can enjoy. For an additional charge, you can even touch and feed the dolphins yourself!
