Sarutahiko Okami is a god who is said to have appeared at the time of creation to guide the other gods in the most virtuous direction. This shrine is dedicated to this legendary figure who appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, Japan's oldest extant chronicles. To this day, this shrine attracts visitors who also wish to pray for guidance.
